- ยับยั้งการทำงานของ เอนไซม์ อะไมเลส ( Amylase) โดยเอนไซม์นี้จะทำหน้าที่เปลี่ยน แป้ง และ คาร์โบไฮเดรต เป็นน้ำตาล
โดยจะสามารถ ยับยั้ง การย่อยได้ประมาณ 50 % แล้วขับออกมาเป็น เส้นใย
- เป็นที่นิยม ทานเป็นอาหารเสริม เปลี่ยนควบคุม น้ำหนัก
- เมื่อการเปลี่ยน แป้ง เป้นน้ำตาล น้อยลง ร่างกายจึงดึง เข้าไขมันสะสม มาใช้
